Escultura Al Espíritu Ganador

The concept behind the sculpture is based on color, shape and Olympic principles. The sculpture is made up of 5 arrow-shaped sections, rotated at an angle and arranged in the shape of a pentagon, generating movement and dynamics. The shapes of the sculpture allude to the lanes and rows of competition, representing order, respect and discipline. The colored bases allude to the universality of sports practice and the white color represents the athletes on the court where equality, excellence and respect prevail. The element of light that emerges from each section in the inner part of the sculpture generates a kind of heart of light, as an analogy to brotherhood: we do not illuminate ourselves, we illuminate the other, and the other illuminates the other until the light reaches us and closes the circle. The harmony and integrity of the sculpture leads us to the understanding of peaceful and constructive relationships, overcoming, fair play and healthy competition. It is located in the roundabout in front of the Doroteo Guamuch Flores stadium. Guatemala, city.
